What is the best one for the money? Would like to keep it under $100, and I only go through about 5g a week now, just get tired of topping off every day

"Do It Yourself" DIY! Simple and easy to make but not fail safe. May want to look at some of the other videos people made on youtube.com to give you better ideas. Float switches cost anywhere from $5 on ebay to $20 at LFS/online stores. All essentially the same. Good luck.

Mine's from autotopooff too. I'd reccomend the dual float version for piece of mind. Also, buy two aqualifters because they are notorious for breaking.

A gravity feed medical IV drip works great, costs practicaly nothing & continuesly replaces water at a constant rate & there are no electrical parts ... your local Vet should be willing to give you a used one for free ... just be sure to use one from a saline solution and/or rinse it thourouly before using

I had a JBJ that stopped for no reason in under a year. I now have reef fanatic form

It seems better made I have had it 3 or 4 months with no issues so far.

Does that use suction cups for the sensor?????????????? Holy cow!!!! I've learned the hard way about suction cups failing over time and that causes damage---like power heads falling into the sand bed. I will never use suction cups again.

can't go wrong here... price is well within your parameters

Been looking at this site. I was wondering about the dual switch. I think it sounds like a good idea, but is it something to worry about or not? Also, if I plan on using an aqua lifter to go from my 5g container to my sump, how much do I have to worry about the pump starting a siphon? I know the aqualifter only has like a 36" max head on it, but what if I need to go that or a little more from left to right?

i suggest the dual floats. also get a snail guard for the lower switch.

i made my own with with autotopoff's parts. has worked perfectly. not one problem.

you could go much longer with your lines run horizontally.
