I got a aussie colony that had the black death in the middle. It stunk to high heaven. I wasnt about to put it in my tank....
So I took it outside, grabbed up my angle grinder and cut the whole bottom off as far as I could get up towards the polyps. Even cut off a few polyps from the side.
Today I have a very nice, healthy colony because of it.
