automatic fish feeder food?

I'm going to be going out of town for 8 days, and picked up one of those automatic 2 times a day fish feeders from walmart. Looking for a pellet or flake suggestion to feed the fish while i'm gone. I typically feed frozen emerald entree every other day, and instant ocean marine chips when not doing the emerald entree, and have a see weed clip in there for everyone to munch on. The fish i have is a clown, 2 damsels, blue tang, and a bar goby. I've got my ato setup with 5 gallons, so the food side is the last thing for the tank to run itself while i'm gone.

Not sure how reliable they are, but I think Formula 2 pellets should work ok. granted I have no experience with those automatic feeders.

I have used different auto feeders when I have been out of town. Either the flakes or pellet should work - the key being you need to set it up a few days before you leave (if possible atleast a week ahead) so that you know how much is dispensed each time and how long one batch is going to last. Most of the feeders should hold enough for 2 weeks ..as long as you don't open up the setting to dispense a lot also based on the fish you have even if you feed half the amount you currently feed they should be fine. If you have bought one which is digital and can feed more than 2 times in a day - then thats better to feed in smaller batches but if it is the bare minimum rotating one with no set time on it then only option is to try different setting on the how much gets dispensed and if it is good enough to feed your fish.

Make sure that no water is splashing on the feeder. If the dispense outlet becomes wet, it might clog especially with flake food. Also make sure it as far away from the drain so that not all of it gets sucked up in the current.
