Awesome little skimmer!

I just purchased a DAS Ex-1 skimmer and for the price, has worked very well on my heavy stocked 75g reef. Just showing off some pictures, is basically a deltec knock off.

Just sharing because this is by far the best skimmer I have owned. Much better than my Octopus200 or Red Sea berlin skimmer, with a very good price tag.

how much did it cost you and where did you purchase it at. im looking into upgrading my skimmer.

It was $300 shippped. You can order it from petorama.net or protein-skimmer.com

Craftsmanship is not the best but it is built like a tank, it uses an aquabee pump, is recirculating, adds 0 heat to the tank, and compared to the other models in its class it seems to kicks ***!

Here is the deltec it compares to;

I am very happy with my purchase.

wow. its half the price.. i'll have to look into it for my tank upgrade. how big is your sump that its in? how much room does it take up? anywhere local that sells it?

I have had the same skimmer for two years. It works like a champ! Also, the fittings are American, NOT metric! At least the output is.

yea, looks a bit too watery imo. but to each there own. some people like to skim wet, some dry. some BOTH!

hahaha lil skimmer, right.....

looks like its doing a great job for you matt!

but i still like bermuda's

LOL well you work around bermudas all day. There was a time when all I wanted was an E.T.S.S. when working at Reef's Edge.

I am still tuning the skimmer but wanted a little more of a wet skim right now to get more junk out because I havn't had a skimmer running for almost a week. I plan on tuning it down for more of a dry skimmate.
