Baby Emeralds?

I was feeding my 29 gallon last night when I noticed a quick movement in one of the rocks. When I leaned in closer I noticed a series of legs. My first thought was a spider that had the body just a little smaller than a dime with a leg span of about a quarter. Then it moved out just a little bit more and looked more like a crab. As I looked closer at the legs and the legs of one of my Emerald crabs that has lurking near by I noticed that they looked identical.

Is it possible that the two Emerald crabs I have, have mated and the result is a new little Emerald?

And what should I do to find out exactly what this creature is?
I'm afraid that if I fresh dip the rock it is hiding in that it may kill it.
If it is a harmless crab I don't want to kill it, but if its a spider I want the thing long gone.

Any advice fellow reefers?

Really doubt that your emerald crabs breed an off-spring. Crab larvae are REALLY hard to raise.

Not all hitch-hiker crabs from LR are reef safe.

Need pics to be sure.
