Here is a shot of one of the eggs I took. This egg fell off the rock it was attached to and I was able to tie a nylon string to it and hang it near the front of the tank so I could monitor development and leave the rest in the cave un botherd.

Here is a pic of the egg hatching tank. A portion of the hatchlings will be moved to m almost finished rearing chamber set up. Some will be kept in the hatching tank for a while and some will be moved to other tanks.

looking good chris. So how how developed are the eggs now? Can you clearly see baby octos are do they still just look like blobs? I think when I parted with the eggs I could see a tiny arm inside one of them, but the majority of the egg was still the yolk and not the baby.

The arms are very developed and you can see the litte guy moving in the egg if ou look closely. The eyes are getting bigger too. I have lowerd the temp down to about 71f to slow the hatching down a bit. My rearing system is very detailed and will be a work of art when done lol. I spent most of tonight completeing the 18 rearing chambers that will sit inside the rearing tank.It has been a lot of work to get this all put together. I hope it works lol. By this weekend it should be filled with water and running. I will post some pics when I am done.

Please do upload some more pics if you take more. Looks like the eggs will be getting plenty of attention and care, just dont give them too much, lol. So how long would you guess the eggs still have to go? Another month? Two months?

Hi Chris
looks like you'll be having your hands full soon enough! hope you have more success than i did with those briareus eggs.....

hehe, trying to build a rearing chamber was a lot of hard work, think i had about 5 versions LOL hehe mine was a work of art, but it was probably more accurately, an abstract.

good luck
