Came home to a strange smell. Walk in my room full of smoke. My electrical strip sizzling under my tank. I thought I caught the whole house on fire. Luckily I got it shut off before any real damage happened. Drip loop anyone? Lesson learned.
I always turn my strips up on its side to prevent water from going down the wires and into the strip. Not all cords are long enough for a drip loop. Thank god you didn't have a fire.
Yeah thanks guys. Thats the first real scare i've gotten. Im still a little shaken but I got a new strip and mounted it up on the wall so all cords have a drip loop now
