Bait to use in crab trap?

I have some sort of rogue crab in my tank, im not exactly sure what kind but I know it is a bright white crab. I am going to try and catch it with a bottle trap, but im not sure if i'll need a certain sort of bait? I have pellets, flake, mysis, and krill, will any of these do the job?

I would use the tilted jar method w/ a small pouch/baggie of sand/rock along w/ a small piece of cocktail shrimp(or fish) stuffed into the small pouch--its the scent that attracts.
A crab may be too large to fit through a bottle top. With pointed feet, crabs can't escape from a jar, tilt it against the rock where you've seen it. good hunting

I tried last night with pellets, no joy, all I caught were my two Nassarius snails :|

I can try the Jar + shrimp method, the only problem with tilting it is the crabs hiding hole is sand level under a rock, he should still be happy enough to climb on the rocks to get inside though right?

I actually discovered a second crab which is definitely a problem, im pretty sure its a Gorilla crab, it looked similar to a mithrax only brown, and a new frogspawn frag near its hole seems to have been attacked as I can see its skeleton.

Gorilla crabs are hairy with black tipped claws. There are all different colored mithrax, brown. green, red. Either way, either crab will do some damage if they get hungry. best to remove if not sure.

I didnt get a very good look at it, its 'face' looked similar to a mithrax but it was gone in a flash. It is currently burrowing, I can see it pushing sand out from under the rocks. I cant get a shrimp until tomorrow so im going to try krill and see if that can temp it out.

I tried the glass with Krill, many times and got nothing. I bought one of those plastic tube flapper traps and have caught three that way (and my pistol shrimp a couple times). I prefer the tube because my ho cleaner shrimp would go in the glass and bogart my plans to catch a crab.

Could you refer me a pic of this sort of trap? I have tried the glass jar 4 times and so far only caught my hermits. My problem crab is living sand level under the rocks so perhaps this is why the jar is failing.
