Band saw

Just google it. Heck - even Aquarium Specialty is carrying one now.

That's the one I have. I don't remember which online vendor I got it from but when I bought mine is was right at 2 bills so you may be able to find it cheaper than the above link.

Also: Check with Speckled Grouper - She has a different brand that I think is a bit more heavy duty than the one above. The one above does work and will work for you as long as you treat it with kid gloves and take care of it but it does appear to be made pretty cheaply.

Awesome thanks guys.

Sunbelt doesnt have one, only the portable band saw. Whats HD?

Would you guys use a reg band saw or am i better off using a dremel if i cant find one of these diamond wet saws?

I would use a dremel if you can. If you are going to be doing a lot of cutting I would buy a wet/diamond band saw. For thick things you can use a wet table saw.

Well thats what im asking, can i use a standard band saw without water?

Or should i just go out and buy a dremel? I can afford a standard band saw or a dremel, not the wet diamond blade band saw.

Im just wondering whats best.

Go with the dremel if you can't get a wet band saw. You can get a diamond blade for the dremel. Only problem with the dremel is you are a bit limited with what you can cut with them. Depending on what you have it could work out perfectly for you (or not).

Thanks for sharing that link Chuck. That has to be one of the most gangster appliances that this hobby has.... Man, a bandsaw designed for cutting frags... (I can't imagine why else there is a mostly plastic band saw...)

It was actually designed to cut stained glass. You can also cut ceramic tile, glass bottles and stuff like that.

The Inland is a pretty good saw but I used one and the problem with it is the water tank on top doesn't hold much. The other one that I can't remember the brand name is good as the entire bottom is the water tank but it is more money.

The name of that one is Gryphon. It runs about $100.00 more than the Inland.
