I intend to restart my 72"x30"x30" tank with BB. Having taken the gravel out I realise that the polystyrene underneath the tank is broken and small areas missing and this will look unsightly until algae colonises.
The tank is impossible to lift to replace it, because of the cabinetry and the only option which would work is to get some guys to lift the front with glass suckers and slide some card underneath. I was considering maybe using a sandy coloured card. Has anybody tried this? Would this be effective or should I stick to white?
