Barnacles- does anyone keep them?

I was wondering if anyone in here keeps large barnacles in their tank- I thought they might be neat to wach with their flicking feeders going out in the water. Are they had to keep? Any problems with them?

I have never seen barnacles sold separately in any of our LFS including the one I am working at. You can find some hitchhiking on liverocks but they aren't easy to keep since they rea strickly filter feeders and usually present in large congregation. you would need to dose phyto and zooplankton several times a day to keep them healthy.

I had a bunch of little ones come as hitchhikers on my TBS rock. Very cool! Most have been eaten by crabs I think.

I think those really big barnacles might be neat- the ones with the clumps of red shells taht are an inch or so large.
