Bay Area Coral Farmers Market

Sounds similar to the recently held South Western Coral Farmers Market. Even though most of this stuff is readily available from our Bay Area fish stores there will be a few vendors from out of the area, most likely with some very nice stuff. I'll probably go for $15 (advanced price). Anyone else think they might go?

To me the $40 is outrageous, I think the only way to go is book in advance.

Hey, josh did you buy anything there? I heard different story from another person who went. Just wondering. But according to Ming(Atlantis) who had a booth there that he sold alot of stuff.

That probably depends on the coral, which vendor, etc... Some will be more expensive than others. If you don't shop in the bay area you're going to have "sticker shock"... if you've never shopped for any of the LE ("limited edition") stuff online then you are in for a really big surprise!

Some of these folks cater to the LE coral collecting crowd and have some very colorful, and also expensive stuff. It would be a good idea to hook up with some of the other club members who can give you ideas of what can be had locally for better prices, and what would be a little tougher to get that might justify the price.

There are some stuff that are highly sought off like the Jen Dubs micros. We see alot of LE stuff all over bay area. Some are reasonable and some are high in price. In this hobby, one should be patience. I know that it's addicting worse than drugs. My tank is highly pack right now. Every time I see a nice corals or fish I could not resist myself. I think I need to go to Coral Annomious group.

ahh wondered what LE stood for, its kinda like a big baseball card show? as far as the bay area...thats where i do all my deliveries and get most of them done in under 6 hours so I take "lunch" or a "break" at an lfs, I ll problably hit up Aqautic Variations tommorow, tried going to the one in Milpitas today ( I think a sponsor) but was closed. If you guys ever need anything from one of the bay area lfs, let me know..
