I figured my reef wasen't natural enough, there weren't enough rusty chains and bottles and since I am a perfectionest. I wanted to make it look like a real reef.
I found this can underwater so it counts as natural.

I just can't figure out why that copperband keeps giving me funny looks

It wanted LaBatt's and you gave it Bud. ;)

Nice job, Paul. Your aquarium is on my list of favorites.

Nice! It's a little unfortunate that beer cans are part of our natural reefs these days...but still a cool idea!

Why.. cause it's empty!!!

Put a full one in there.

Really though.. do you really want the contamination in your tank?

I just opened up a can of Bud Light right before I saw this post...

Same here...:D

The only time beer cans make it in to my tank is when I leave them on top of the canopy and forget to take them down before I close it.

I neeeeed to know the punchline. PM me if it is innaproprate. The setup is good.

MILLER LIGHT Rules.

Paul,
As always great tank. Good to see someone else defying common practices.

I think it will look a little better and become part of the reef when some coraline grows on it and I stick some corals on it. It is coated in fiberglass resin.
There are about 8 bottles in there and they are so incrusted with growth that I would have to point them out to you to see them.
Have a great day.

Miller Light?

This is what happens when you drink those light beers.

Paul- do you notice more tropical species in the waters around Long Island as the summer progresses?

I don't even drink beer but Vodka bottles are not that interesting.
I only wish I could fit an old Oldsmobile in there.

Gary, where my boat is on the Sound I don't see many tropicals, they are all on the south shore. I was out on the east end to day but unfortunately I diden't go in the water.

Thanks fishfanv. The thing has been in there for a day and the rest of the corals look great for some reason. Must be the aluminum vitamin that they were missing. :rolleye1:

And everyone is complaining about some PO4 removers releasing aluminum. Silly people.

Here comes the king. :D

Yeah silly people. Watch all my fish floating belly up tomorrow. If that happens it will just be one more experiment that diden't turn out exactly like I planned.
