Pedro, what pump are you using with your Bermuda? Mag 5?

I'm using a Rio 3100 that I already had. I believe they recommend a Mag 7, check the website.

Please call my cell, I will be in Miami today and would like to come get it. I won't be on the computer until tonight and it will be too late by then.
Thanks,

Ray any particular reason why are u changing skimers?
I know u have had some deltec/mrc and so forth and I'm looking for a tinker free equipment as well as performance for my upgrade.

I've been considering this skimmers in m future build

I'm very satisfied with this skimmer. Once you set the level using the riser tube, fuggedaboudit. The larger models have a gate valve which I prefer, but not offered on this model.

Seriously, all I do is clean the collection cup and drain the waste container once or twice a week. Otherwise, no adjustments. Once I reached in and cleaned the body because it was growing coralline from the lights in my fuge. But that was months ago. In my setup the pump inlet never gets clogged because the overflow water crashes down on it.

thx
How does it compae to any other skimmers u have used?

Well, I've used a Coralife SuperSkimmer which was a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I bought a used AquaC EV-180 for my 55. That works very well, but the foam tower gets coated with skimmate and you have to reach in and clean it out when you empty the collection cup. That's smelly and gross and sometimes the glob of skimmate falls back into the body. I do like their waste container though, it has a vent you can put carbon in to get rid of the smell.

The Bermuda removes more stuff (of course, it's a 90 compared to a 55), doesn't clog and has NEVER overflowed. It works for me.

Eco Reef carries them if you want to see one in action.

Yup I've seen them. Larry wants me to try one

Get a euro-reef 500 or something like that. Go check out the euroreef skimmer thread, over 200 pages, many pictures and designs, the skimmers work great. imo
