Best stores for an out of towner to hit

Hello all, I will be in Long Beach early next month for a week. As the title says I am looking for advise on good stores to go and visit. I would really like to see something like the LiveAquaria facility or the Exotic Reef Imports. Are these open to the public?

Quality Marine and exotic reef imports are not open to the public and don't give tours. Agree with Vivid Aquarium, would add Amazing Aquariums in Orange and Aquarium City in Sherman Oaks. Aquarium City is not far from Vivid.

I went there once to check them out and was not impressed. I left without buying anything and never had the urge to come back.

There are lots to visit and I would not want to slight any of the great LFS that we have. I’m a fan of vivid aquariums because it’s the closest LFS to me. You have to see the back room to see the wonderful Tenuis collection they have. Reef Raft USA is a must although it’s been too long since I visited. It imported some of the best corals ever some years ago and just because of that I think is worth visiting. Last time I was there, Tony had a lot of beauties as well. Two Guys Coral is a must as well because of its size and large inventory. So many more great stores to see, though. Have a great time visiting

So I got into LA this morning at 6am after flying for 18 hrs. Went and picked up a chiller. Then hit up 2 Guys Corals and Reef Lounge. I must say both shops were really good. I was blown away at the shear size of the operation at 2 Guys Corals. Man if you want a SPS that is the place to go. Reef Lounge was an all around good store with a great selection of everything from fish/coral/dry goods. Tomorrow I plan to hit up Vivid, Ultragem, and Cali Kid Corals. Thanks guys those 2 places were exactly what I was looking for

Just want to clarify that aquarium city is on Sherman Way, in Canoga Park and not far from vivid, which is also in Canoga Park/woodland hills. Sherman oaks is about 15 miles from vivid. :beer:
