Best Sump/Refugium.

The biggest one you can fit. There really isn't a "Best" as they really just hold water and such. Baffle design can assist in keeping microbubbles out of your tank, but any setup worth a darned will have dealt with this.

MrMiggiDude,

above comments are good

biggest, the idea is to have more water, which provide more stability, but if you need to chill it(cooling), than less could be better,

also there are many, many designs, and as always the user (you) need to learn about the different, talk to other with similar setup and try to choose the more suited design,

ex.
I have sps, and run the tank with very low nutrients, I don't have chaeto, ect on the sump because they die, thus I don't need/ have a use for refugium, so my sump is just a 55g with a set of baffle to eliminated bubbles and for my equipment,

on another setup, one might want a refugium on the center with baffles before it and after the refugium, and the return pump at the end. so
drain pipes > baffle > refugium > baffle > return pump

others might not want all flow to pass through refugium like above, and the put the return pump on the center, that way with a valve they can control the amount of water that the refugium receives, so

drain > baffle > return pump < baffle < refugium < drain

and so on, many, many choices, just like flow, lighting, additives, sand, no sand, good luck, with your choice,

sam
