Best t5 combo for blue look

Hi have a 4 bulb t5 light and I am looking for a blue look in my tank. My grand mother buys all my corals for me and she says that the colors do not stand out as they used to when she bought them at the LFS :bounce3:so I would like to have my corals color pop and have good growth.

What are you currently running? Color has so much more to it than just lighting.

Yeah that won't make the colors pop.

I would grab about 6 bulbs to begin with so you can tinker a little bit. Something like 3 ATI Blue Plus, 1 Purple Plus, 1 Coral Plus and 1 Actinic. My first combo would look like this:

Blue Plus
Purple Plus
Actinic
Blue Plus

It will VERY different than what you are used to so give it a few days. If it doesn't grow on you and it TOO blue, switch the Purple for a Coral Plus or even the Actinic for a Coral Plus. Change one bulb per day so you don't PAR shock your tank. Too much light, too quick can kill coral. Better to be safe IMO

What bulb combinations do you recommend?

Here's a some of our customer's favorite combinations. We have found most folks prefer a bluer look to their tank as it helps to bring our more colors in their corals. Please remember that bulb choice is ultimately a matter of personal preference and what works for one, may not work for another.

What size tank is it on? If it is smaller than you can get away with an actinic or two. IMO it blows away the blue plus bulb for visual appeal it is a lower par value though.
