I have some old live rock and would like recommendations on best way to bleach it-ratio of bleach to water, how long to let it set, and best way to neutralize? just dechlorinator?
thanks

A 10:1 (water:bleach) solution generally gets the job done. Let it sit overnight, and then circulate using Prime/Amquel to neutralize the chlorine. I then like to soak the rock in RODI for a few days.

The above will clean the rock, but won't eliminate any stored phosphates it might have absorbed. You'd have to give it a muriatic acid bath to eliminate that.

I start with muriatic acid, then lanthanum chloride, then cycling with bacteria and ammonium chloride. Entire process done in a Brute.
