Best way to clean and reuse live rock

Alright so in the next few weeks Ill be adding new live rock to my 70g. I have some live rock about 20lbs-30lbs in my 55 and I want to reuse it, it has no coral on the rock some coraline and a lot of those vermata(sp?) snails, that just keep coming back even after I break them all off.

So what I wanna do is kill everything on the rock and just use as base rock and let the new live rock slowly make the old stuff live again. How do I go about killing everything on the rock? Bleach? freshwater? sitting for a few weeks out of water?

The main thing is I want to make sure everything DIES! and that none of those stupid snails come back.

I would try to let is set out of water for a few weeks as I think this would work best.

Or you could try the freshwater.

Even though I am one of the people that supports using bleach for cleaning equipment and filter accessories, I would not reccomd it for your live rock.

Remember that after you dry it out or put it in freshwater there ould be dead and dying organisms on it and you will have to cure the rock.

Alright I think ill just go with that let it sit out clean it up nice, and then cure it(umm whats that?) ahh well I'm off to take my own advice and go read some more

As for my name, subzero420 aka mike, I never thought I would post at reef central when I had a freshwater tank(which is what I had when I signed up) so I just used the name that first came to mind, but its turned out to be the best thing for a saltwater tank.
