Best way to insure sand is off interior walls before buffing

New member
Hello. I'm getting ready to buff/polish the inside walls of my new to me acrylic tank. I've hosed then wiped them down a couple times along with shopvacing but still can find a stray grain of sand or two. I'm figuring it would be a real bad thing if the rotary buffer picks one of these up. Does anyone have a foolproof way to make sure I got them all? Thanks.

I would assume you could use some clay, like if you were getting ready to polish a car. It picks up particles embedded in the paint without scratching the paint so im sure it would do the same for your tank.
