Better polyp extension during the day?

I've heard and read that polyps have the best extension at night. In my tank it is the opposite. I have good polyp extension during the day and at night there is little or no polyp extension. As soon as the attinics turn on, the polyps come put. I put phyto in the tank some nights too.

This isn't going to help? Natually acros usually put their polyps out at night, so "fish" can't nip at the polyps. In my tank I have polyps out during the day and they really come out at night? I also have no clue why? It doesn't matter how much flow I put them in, they're always open.

Acropora (elias stag, green slimmer, anthroceris, tort, birds nest, tricolor)
Millipora (blue and multicolored)
Montipora Caps (orange and green)
Zoanthids
Palythoas
Ricordia
Everything is fully extended during day and either closed, not extended, or partially extended at night.

SoFloReefer, you probably don't have enough zooplankton floating in your system at night time. If I use a flashlight and shine it against the back glass, I can see little organisms and baby shrimp floating in the water column for the corals to eat.

Mine pretty much always have the same PE during the day, and then at night everything is the same except the growth tips come out a a bit more.

Huh, I'm the other way around... especially with the milli, I still have good extension during day.. but at night it's insanely hairy.

My Seritopora and monitpora are out the same day and night. My pocci seems to be fthe sane way i guess lol.

I just got my first acro so cant comment on that
