You can see the damage at the base of the Stylo, right above the frag plug. I caught the little bugger in the act, there's no question he was eating it.

I know that not all asterina sps. eat coral, but I don't want to sacrafice my corals as part of the identification process so I'll be flushing on sight. I just happened to notice this when I went home at lunch, if I hadn't I'm sure it would have cost me the frag.

The white ones for most of the time are harmless. I wouldn't be so quick to dispose of them unless you see actual evidence.
