i know the detail is low . but does anyone have a clue what type of worm this could be? has a large mouth at the tip of the body. he is ribbed an aprox 3/8 in in diameter. lives i a 20# piece of lr an will never bring his entire body out. he stretches as far as he can and his head is always in the sand. any ideas would help. since he is always in the sand i am not completely worried but i have a few unexplained deaths in the last six months and would like to figure him out

Not only that they periodically pump water in and out of the interior of the rocks promoting beneficial bacterial growth.

looks like a peanut worm. they are great to have in the tank. excellent detritus eaters!

I second this.
