O.k. Yes I should know this but the answer escapes me and the search engine is always full...I have a Kole Tang with 5 spots on its side that look almost like something is under its skin. None of the other fish have it. The spots are much larger than ich but they are all of the same size. I went on the disease formums thinking its a parasite of some sort but didn't find anything. Help!!

Are these spots white at just the tops, like pimples, or are the whole bumps white? I had this with a clownfish. I used Melafix for about a week and it eventually got better. Have any pics?

Ich are small and usually encrust the whole fish. They dont come from under the skin.

The whole thing is white. They look like small raised rectangular shaped white (tan) patches. They are raised up on the skin..The patches are much larger than ich and confined to the one area of the fish. They are not fuzzy..they almost appear like they are coming from the inside of the skin out..not just sitting on the outside..I wish I had a digital. The Tang won't hold still long enough for me to see if the spots are moving at all..like a parasite or something.
