biobale

hey folks,

so, i have this 40 breeder that is getting set up as a reef tank.

as of right now, it has a 250w MH pendant, a bak pak2 skimmer/filter and a penguin sponge filter for some water circulation (my next purchases are more powerheads).

anyway, i just added 60 pounds of established live rock (from a guy's tank who has had it up and running for over a year) and there is a coral beauty and a flame hawkfish in my tank right now. i would like to start slowly adding some corals (easy stuff to begin with), but have heard that the biobale stuff in the bak pak can generate a lot of nitrate.

should i take the biobale out?

thanks folks. this is a fun adventure.
