Hello All,

My name is Raymond friends call me Teecs. I am a first time reefer and wanted to introduce my self. I have been working on starting my first time this last year. So I been buying equipment little by little. Now I finally started my cycle about a week ago. Looking for some advice and maybe some help with any questions or issues. I know a lot of questions I've had have been answered with the search button lol. So I am aware that I need to try and find the answers first. Anyway wanted to leave you guys with what my setup is and how it looks as of now. Opinions are welcome not saying I will follow them all. But I will hear all options and make my own choice.

DAY 1

DAY 2
Scrubbed the tank and *dumped all the water *out *and then made my first Mod. Which was taking out the over flow tab and both false floors in chamber 1 and 2. After I removed it refilled it with the vinegar *and tap water again.*

DAY 3
Well today I got my order from Aquariumparts.com need to replace some of the parts of the tank. I needed new fans because *they were both running like crap. Also I got the a/c adaptor for the moon lights but got the wrong one so I hope I can send it back and get the right one. Lastly I got the replacement air wood/stone for the skimmer and the sponge for chamber 3.
*
*By the way Aquariumparts.com had super fast shipping 3 days and sent to Alaska is pretty quick lets see if they make the exchange the adaptor.*

Update********* oct 23

So today I installed my BRS PH probe and Neptune probe holder.
The holder was a lot bigger then I expected. So I had to place it in the main display not really what I wanted but will work for now.

Hmm.

So currently you have no livestock including fish or coral, but your using both Purigen and carbon? Just curious, why would you do this?

After a few weeks added returned the fish and add my pair of clowns....
After a week the male started to shake and stopped eating ...
I tried the dipping in fresh water seemed to help but in the end he passed
Female was doing good throughout...

Added a lot more corals and bought a BRS RODI unit cause trips to the LFS was costing me a lot a week since u can't just walk in for water . At least I can't

Upgraded the stock return pump to a MJ 900

Got a apex probe holder and PH probe

Upgraded my circulation pump to MP10

Added moon light mine were broken when I bought the tank used

Some of these are out of order but it all happen since I started in October

Lastly I got a good deal on a biocube 29. Really was not thinking of getting another tank this fast but it was a really good deal. Plus the clown they had really needed to be rehomed. Algae took over that tank. which I'm about to start working on but not in a rush this how my biocube 14 looks as of today sorry the dirty glass it was before I did my weekly maintenance

Looks good, very nice setup.

Bad news on the shaking and stopping to eat though... Most likely he was mating with the female. The male clown shows he is ready to mate by shaking, and he may stop eating for a while. As long as it isn't too thin, it would have been fine. Sorry for the loss though. That's why I don't dip any fishes until there is a proven diagnosis. And dips don't help anyway, because if whatever they had was in your tank, it would have still been there.

Otherwise coming along nicely. Is that a fish poking it's head out from that zoanthid patch in the front middle? Looks like an algea blenny or even an eel?

Well he had some fin rot but idk he just would not eat and would stay at the bottom of the tank. So I dipped him to see if had any luck. Which did work a day or so and wet back to the bottom and stayed there. Next morning he was dead.
That's the shell of a hermit crab lol
