BIOCUBE 29 HQI owner thread.

I have been talking to the president of Coralvue which makes reef octopus, hopefully thinking about making a product for our tanks......it would fit in the stock holes in the lids and spread across the whole back. It would keep the HQI light where it is, and it would be recirculating....Hopefully he likes the ideas I sent that way....if not.....back to the drawing board.

im getting a custom fuge/sump made for in the stand. i'll be running a Tunze 9002 skimmer in that, they have super great reviews

I just dont want to run a return pump. I want to keep it at low key as possible. But make sure you post pics! I have a friend that drilled his and ran it into his main system. Ran all the pipes through the wall.......so total volume of water is around 300 gallons, which is rediculous!

If you want to run it with a sump...I would just cut out the back wall all together...and drill in the back corner, then All you have to do is attach a overflow box, like you get from gl*******s.com.......and then your done, and ready to go.

Did you upgrade your skimmer? If so, how's it working? I'm looking to buy a skimmer for mine.

Also would you mind posting a picture of how you have the back setup?

Yeah.....if your going to go all out and mod mod mod, you may as well just buy new and make what you want.

Alright guys, just a little update. I just upgraded to LED's. I have 72 watts over my tank, and its thriving. I cut my energy usage to about 80watts on average throughout the day. Thats less than most peoples return pumps, it makes me happy. :) If anyone wants pictures, ill supply them.

pics are great!

i just got a custom sump/fuge built and installed!
running a tunze 9002 skimmer in it also

so far so good :)

I LOVE IT! ATO, dosing, PH and ORP monitoring etc. The lite also has the NET capability now. Just need to get the module.
