Biocube Exhaust Fans

I have failed to find a post on custom fitting fans into a Biocube's hood. Especially for the 14g. So i figured I'd show you guys what my project was today. My First DIY

I first went out to Micro Center (computer store) and bought two 50mm fans for $7 a piece.
Then I found an old power transformer laying around, so i used it to power the fans.
After some dremeling, drilling, and fitting, the fans were in.

Watch my video and see attached pics to see in more detail.
Like they all say, a picture can say 1000 words.

Tell me what you guys think. Good DIY?? or any tips to improve??

Thanks,

Keep in mind, that those bolts/nuts will rust eventually. So if you can cover/coat them somehow to prevent that, it would be advisable.

I fit one into my feeding lid to cool my MH retrofit. It works really well and still serves as a functional hood. I didn't want to have to worry about water getting splashed on the fans in the back, so I drilled out some of the lid. I left the BC logo and cleaned out around it with a dremel. It's not perfect but it works well and looks fine.
