just resize them in microsoft paint.. unless you have a macintosh.... also pico's are really fun.. i loved mine.. until i transfered it into an acrylic tank.. i will NEVER own an acrylic tank again.

I had a 6 gallon eclipse. I also had a truvu 55 years ago. I would not go acrylic again either.

I have photoshop, i just know that photobucket cuts them down to a decent size and I thouhgt tinypic would do the same.

btw, I did the leak test as a joke but in all actuallity I am glad I did. That cheap filter leaked like a siv. Water was flowing from the pump.

what lighting are you going to use? what are you planning to keep in it?

I love having a tank at work - gives me something to space out to from time to time :)

I have been surfing the board, but mostly looking up Propagating information and systems. Been expanding my coral propagation project and been selling on E-bay, RC, Nano-Reef and the LFS. As far as huricane season I will need to take inventory on my Battery Air pumps. and stock up on the batteries again. Didn't need them last year. But the year before they saved me.

Glad you got the old 70w setup going.. What are you planning to stock the 2.5g with?

Keep us updated your projects are always entertaining.

with all the junk ive got lying around, i bet you could get everything you need from me in a few trades.

ive got extra rubble, sand, frags, and frames. let me know.

I'm buying a big generator this summer. something that will run my central air and my tanks. I'm not going out again this year!

so basically what that means is that i'll spend a bunch of coin on a generator and we wont have a Hurricane. I'm making it safe for all :)

I hope it is that simple. I had a generator at times for last few. It was pretty hard to find gas.

I would like to drop a generator on my porch but i don't have the coin. I was at HD the other day and they had about a thousand in stock.

bandit - selling on ebay seems to be the most profitable way for a small operation. How has it been going for you?

Kogo - I may see if you wanna sell anything. I don't know that i have anything to trade.

I do plan to chop up my huge guy in this vid

I am just getting started selling on E-bay. I could do a little better if I had some more unique corals. I am offering mostly common stuff but it does sell. I have sold the most to local people when offering it on RC or Nano-Reef. Need to get some more variety. I have a LFS that will give $5 for my xenia. So far they have bought 20 frags from me. I'll keep trying, at least it helps to pay for the hobby.

Wish you lived closer. I had an issue with my 175 and ran my 70 over my tnk for a while. When i went back to the 175 all my xenia died.

I saw a guy use a desk lamp for the light. He just put the lamp next to the tank and extended the arm over the tank with one of the compact floresent 6500k std. socket daylight bulbs. It looked good and worked well for him.

I have seen that also. The key is to have a lamp that has a halogen bulb. The sockets are the same size as the 70w hqi bulbs. I am going to do a hood and fixture. I gotta keep this cheap.

Carl,

Although you're doing it on the cheap and have the light you still might to look into the Coralife mini 20w bulbs.

Coralife mini

Unless you're going for super high lighting corals it's cheap lighting for a 2.5.
