Thinking about adding 5 Biscuit Starfish to my tank as part of a clean up crew regeneration:

Found a resource that said they were pretty reef safe (eat some sponges and tiny inverts). Anyone have any experiences?

They feed on encrusting sponges and bryozoans. As with many stars, that means they should be reef safe, but only because they won't find anything to eat in your tank. Live bryozoans rarely if ever make it into the hobby. Encrusting sponges aren't rare, but it would be uncommon to grow them fast enough to support a specialist feeder.

You might try it, but I strongly suspect you're wasting your money. You'll probably still get a year or so out of it though as long as it's acclimated properly.
