:) i thought i would post this pic of the black max i just found. i have been looking for one for a long time. i have a crappy camera so it is not a very good pic but it is a great clam!:D

i thought i would post a picture of the other side of the clam bed. i really need a new camera though does anyone have any suggestions?

When I was ordring my CBB from TMC, it was on the site. By the time I was ready to order though, someone else bought it. I was sooo mad!

I think east coast clams had/has some for $65. It a black and aqua one and not a black and white color. I think either looks really neat.
 
You really have a nice assortment of clams, if I had the room and $ id probally have a dozen in my system. All I have now is a blue maxima ive been raising since he was just over 1" ( now hes 3+" ) and a gold squamy ive had for 3 years thats starting to get really large, my next ones gonna be a black/white morph maxima if I ever find one for a decent price.
 
Not to steal the spotlight or anything, but since were on the subject I just wanted to share my find. I got this on eBay for $45. Not the greatest pic in the world, but one nice clam.

wow that clam is sweet. how big is he? i have been looking for black maximas for awile and i had all my lfs on the lookout. when i bought the one i posted before i had no idea one of my other guys has really gone out of his way to get me a black clam.. to cut i long story short i felt obligated to buy this clam from them so now i have two black maxs. they look pretty cool together and i will post a new pic soon.

My Max is about 4" or so. I was lucky to find him. I've been looking for on since the first day I opened volume one of THE REEF AQUARIUM (on page 377). Once I saw this little guy I knew I HAD to get one!!!!!! I was willing to pay more ............. but strangely the only people that bid were my and one other ................. and they bid the first day of the auction ........... go figure. Since the LFS's around here only have softies and the occasional EXPENSIVE LPS the internet is all I have, unless I feel like driving 3 hours. I actually just got another "black" max as well. Not quite the same as this one, but still nice. I gotta clean my glass and then I'll take a pic.

Here they are. These are four of my clams. The brown one was the first one that I got. Including the newest addition of the "black" one on the far left I have 9 clams ........... and have room for more. ;)

I have an older Mavica and the battery died right after I quickly snapped these shots. Sorry for the quality.
