Hello, everybody,
I just looked in my tank this morning and saw a nice round solid black sea slug, i am thinking is some sort of lipid but i am not sure. Ever since i got this live rock 4 months ago i am starting to see a lot of interesting creatures. The dealer said the rock came from Brazil.
Thanks,
Julio

Ummmm....last time I checked, lipids were fats and oils, not marine inverts.

Sounds like you have a small cucumber, possibly Holothuria atra.

Julio, if you meant limpet then there is a remote chance you are referring to a Ducksbill Limpet (genus Scutus). This is just a guess of course.

Visit http://www.seaslugforum.net/scutus.htm for a picture and more details.

And if this is correct, also search more on Reef Central. There has been discussion about them here in the past.

Cheers,
Bob

Thank you for understanding what i meant, this is exactly what it is, i know the dealer had them in his tanks, and he had a lot so i guess he got them in th elive rocks.
thanks,
Julio
