Black Volitan Lionfish's Switch to Frozen?

So I've had this lion for about a month now and although he's regained all of his colors (I included pics!) I can't get him to strike on any silversides. I've tried using the head and moving it slowly back and forth in front of him, I've even tried dropping a whole small silverside in with the pumps off so it would fall slowly. Nothing. He'll gobble up freshwater minnows or ghost shrimp in an instant, though. But it worries me because I know they're not healthy for him. Any tips?

I have the same problem. My Volitan only eats live. I would starve him for 7-10 days and then offer him frozen. I tried all the tricks, moving it around, wiggling it. He would rather starve than eat frozen. My thought is some food is better than no food. If he won't eat frozen, feed him live. Its a hassle but part of the job of owning a lionfish. Try feeding frozen again in a few months when he is more accustom to his surroundings.

Okay, sorry to hear your having trouble as well but I guess it makes me feel a little better that mine isn't the only one.
