I'm going to be continuing some finishing touches on the site but it is functional and you can create accounts and add controllers and they should all work.

A few things to note:

* Don't forget your account password; I am using 1-way encryption so until I get 'send me a new password' functionality there is no way out except to create a new tank.

* Tanks can be added, as many as you want, choose the 'New tank' from the tank editor screen.

* You can choose the button interface or drop-down interface

* If you have 1 tank the tank screen will be shown, if you have > 1 you need to choose.

A couple questions to the users:

Email account access is not yet implemented (I'm wondering if I need this or if this is overkill). This feature would send you email when login to your account is done.... Do you think this is needed????

Should I have a 'Default tank' that is shown initially in cases that you have > 1 tank configured or is it OK to just choose the one you want in this case?

* Other suggestions; get them in so I can start making a list and send bugs if you find any.

* If you notice your account disappears in the next couple days it is because I've make changes to the DB schema that required me to clear the DB; I don't expect this but there is a potential change to the tanks DB that might require me to clear the tanks list.

Tanks are edited in the Tank Editor screen; choose the link at the bottom of the main page and you will go back into the editor.

There is a project that exposes the ACJr to the web but I'm not certain to what is exposes and how but you might want to contact the person who built it and ask.

From the person who developed the Jr solution it appears that it should work:

"It basically provides the same interface as an ac3. it also supports all http post that is applicable to a. Jr."

You will need to install the Jr serial to web software but after that it should work; "d0ughb0y" is the person who did the Jr Serial to web stuff so if there is a problem I'm sure you could contact them.

If you only have 1 tank it should go to that tank; the default would only be needed in case you have multiple controllers.

The error has been cleaned up but the short of it is that the controller address (hostname + port) could not be connected. Check your hostname and port number.

The connection is:

http:// + host + port + /cgi-bin/status.xml

OK, I've enabled 2 facilities today:

* Outlet control now works (I had a doh moment; it was always controlling my tank)

* Email when login now works (if you set email notifications)

* Feed cycles have been added; start and cancel feed cycles now work

Let me know if you find any issues; I think things should be pretty much working now...

Another question, I some how have 5 tanks set up in the drop down, all with the same names, LOL. I am trying to delete four of them. After I click delete it asks to confirm, then it says to 'refresh' but the button says 'go back'. When - go back I see all 5 tanks, it wasn't deleted. What am - doing wrong. Thanks

You should click "Yes" and the next screen will have 1 button, click that, it's wrong text and by going back you are seeing the cached page; that tank should have been deleted by this time.

Glad it's looking up; I'll be working on the code so if you see an occasional blip give it 5 minutes before reporting the issue; I'm trying to keep disruptions to a minimum but no longer than a few minutes.

When you create your tank entry veryify that the different parts of the configuration are:

http:// + 'Host URL' + 'Port' + /cgi-bin/status.xml

If you set host and port correctly the only remaining issue should be user and password to the AC3. Verify that you are running 3.4 firmware in the AC3 (the newest) else the status page will be unavailable and you will get a timeout/connection error.

3.4 has been out for some time and the only issue I've heard of is that you want to disable "AquaServer". I've not heard of any other issues and my controller has been running 3.4 since beta; no problems.

I'm not as computer literate as you. Lots can go wrong, & with my history, it will. Looking here http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=368
It seams to still be beta with some having issues & others having none. I think I'm going 2 wait for the non-beta release, break down my AC3, overnight it Curt & let him do it right. The version I have right now works well, it took me a long time 2 trust it.
