Can my first nem be saved it is a GBTA and I have had it about 2 weeks now. It never looks like the pictures I see online or my cousins RBTA. Today I noticed by it's mouth and out from it about 1/4 of and inch it's like its body is clear. And see through.. My cousin said the guy who I got it from sold me a reached nem... Probably why he was so persistent that I was ready and had adequate light n water even though I told him my tanks only 2.5 months old..

Guess he just wanted to make money off it before it DIED..

Anyways... Is there any way to help this thing if not I need to know so I can get it out.. I work 3rd shift from 11-7 so all I do is worry all night if that thing dies.. I only have a 20 gallon high. Tank so I can't let it die In There...

Here are pics I took today

your tank was not ready for an anemone…at 2.5 months old it is barely ready for coral…

that anemone looks to have expelled all it zooxanthealgae…it will recover but it will take time, and pristine water conditions…

what kind of lights do you have? and how old are they?

the sellers questions are completely normal for someone selling an anemone…especially to someone who doesn't have much if any experience with them…

feeding it very small pieces of silversides or krill will help keep it motivated to survive..the pieces should be no larger then the size of its mouth…if its mouth is only 1/4" across then the pieces should be no more then 1/4" cubes…anemones are pigs, and will eat continually, then they will throw it all back up and shortly there after die…so don't over feed it….

personally i would not have bought an animal if it were that colour,,,as there are no healthy animals in this hobby that are white and translucent.

what is up with the pics of the frogspawn…it is doing fine..

you tank if far too new for a anemone so it may not make it. I would try feeding this guy small pieces a few times a week, at least its mouth does not look too bad but it is very bleached.
