What is this coral exactly? How much light? Place on rock or sand? Anyone else have one and what have you doneto keep it looking good?

Probably a Platygyra but I agree with the heavy actinics its a little hard to tell.

It's all bluish and the pic was taken under 12K 175 watt halides with 1 40 watt acrinic. I will try to get a pic when the 400watt halide 14K is on,but it is a really blue coral!

Gmax- I think maybe you are right. It looks like it could be Platygyra sinensis. There is a chance it could be Oulophyllia crispa.

My oulophyllia looks much different. I am sticking with platygyra.

I think so to. I saw the same species for sale today for $59.00. It was smaller and green. I got a great price for mine at $49.00. I just wish I found more deals like that more often. It pays to shop around!
