blue squamosas?

Blue Squams are extremely rare. I very highly doubt these are blue...I think it is just the way the picture turned out.

Etropicals claims that they get their clams from ORA but ORA describes their squamosas as Classic gold spot color pattern. So tropical's squamosas are not blue.

To tell you the truth, the spotted one looks photoshoped to me. Since they photoshoped one i bet the other one is too.

Here is what a real blue squamosa looks like.

Here is ORA's picture of a squamosa

5 minutes of photoshopping and you get something very similar to the picture at etropicals.

Good lord that blue squamosa is awesome.

I'll keep my comments about etropicals to myself so I don't get sued. I think everybody knows what I'm thinking.

I wouldn't jump the gun on this one. Those clams are probably ounder 20k bulbs as are most sps/clams in advertisement photos and they probably jut took a crappy picture of it.

Thats true. I've never done business with them so I can't say anything. But I still want a blue squami! They got me all worked up.

ORA Squamosa's vary! I have had several snakeskin Squammies from ORA with Blue dots, and rims, but never solid blue. If they look like that I would buy 200,000 of them!

i don't think they're photoshopped. i've seen plenty of pics of ones like those in books. though i'm not saying they are representative of what they sell.

This one is from ORA. It's only half blue and it had the most blue out of the 5 "blue squamosas" ordered by a LFS. I don't think ORA has any solid blue ones.

That is by far the coolest ORA squamosa i have seen.

Thanks guys.

Rob that's an awesome squa. ORA or wild caught?

William may be you should sell your clam to ORA so that they can breed it and sell all of us some solid blues. :)

ORA does not breed clams, they just import them. Even if they did, colour is not known to be genetic.
