Also you should visually break the tank into 2/3 and 1/3 for spacing, a bigger island and a smaller island or group of islands. Asymmetry will make it look more "natural". Really like Laud's idea of a swim through.
Coastie, I couldnt agree with the guys above more. I kinda have the rock wall thing goin myself right now but plan on doing 2 or 3 tower setup for the new tank to allow for lots of swimming.
few tips would be
1) see whose selling some nice live rock w diff shapes and design your look. you wont need a ton just several accent pieces to add to what you have and then sell your left over. (kinda looks like similar shaped rocks in your setup right now)
2) use some aquamend or aquarium epoxy to stick the rocks together. you can also use the super glue gel to the rock then epoxy then super glue to next rock to help the epoxy stick better.
Here is progress. All coral is sitting in buckets. Few more rocks with coral on the. They are big rocks. Going to put more on right stack. I want the left stack a little lower than right. Middle open the way it is. Scraped coraline off back wall. Coming along. Took a lot of the plain shaped rock out. Big pieces. Lmk what you think.
