my brain coral doesn't extend it's sweepers.is this a problem?otherwise he looks grate.my lighting is 150 halide and 2 pc.any info.a little new to lps keeping.

What type of brain coral are we talking about? There are about half a dozen genus (genuses. . .genai?) that are called brain corals. Also, How far away from the lights is it, and how much flow is it getting? Some, like open brains (trachyphyllia) can be pretty picky when it comes to these factors.

it is a trachyphyllia geoffroyi.it puffs up beautifully just no sweepers.does it have to have it's sweepers out sometimes to maintain it's health or will it be fine just the way it is?

I'd guess there's something wrong if you don't get any sweepers at all. I think they're all pretty aggressive feeders. Now, the tentacles generally do only come out at night, so make sure you check at least a couple hours after the lights go out or well before they come back on. Perhaps if you try putting some food in the tank at night that may tempt it to want to feed.

What about temperature? My lps hated it when my temp swing was about 2-3 deg each day. Actually, all of my lps almost died because of it. Its at a stable 81 deg now and it couldn't be healthier.

he's doing great didn't know the sweepers only came out when lights are out looked this morning and hey they are out thanx for all the info everyone has been great and all have great info every time thanx again
