Brain Fragging?

I have a platygra brain that has been growing very nicely. Is there any way to SAFELY frag these corals? I was thinking about placing smaller rocks very close to its base so that it starts to grow out on them and then removing them. You can see a small pic of him from a few months ago over there <----- on the bottom right

There still would need to be some form of severing. If it indeed grew and attached onto near by substrate you'd still need to seperate it from the main colony. I would suggest either using a chizel, tile cutting saw, or dremel to remove the piece of your choice and liking then mount it on some substrate. I like the idea of a dremel or other power cutting tool, that way your not snapping, breaking any piece off that is more than what you intended.

As your cutting just keep the blade and path along the coral your cutting wet with salt water from a syrenge or cup and it will be perfectly safe and will heal within a week or so.

Nothing to it, but to do it! ;)
