Before the RO - yes.

ya know i have a link on reefnest for that....i did alot of research of the chemical compounds tghat make up brass, and every brass fitting to valve to pipe are all made from different chemical compounds...now from what i understand reading about brass is that fittings are made from copper and zinc, but the copper used is different, its not arsenic type copper, and that the only way for the fittings to break down into chemical form is when melted, there is zero corrosion under saltwater conditions....now the brass valve is different type copper in the compounds of brass, and its soft, it corrodes and gives off toxins so thats a no no...its kinda cool,now i have 2 little brass fittings in my tank and spend a lot of money on copper testing,i have 3 different types of tests and none of them show up in my tank... i dont have any more links maybe i posted some here...under does brass contaminate...
