Brown Algae?

Relatively new to the hobby (about a year-ish) and recently (month) I've noticed some brown algae growing/collecting on one side of the tank glass. That side of the glass has a powerhead on it and the powerhead also collecting algae. The other parts of the tank seem to be just fine. Any suggestions?

well I'm relatively new too, to reefing anway, my tank is now 4 months old and during the cycle my rock, sand and glass become covered in brown slimey algae, relatively easy to remove from the glass with a magnet scraper but I added 2 turbo snails about a month ago and they munched their way through the lot after a week.

Thanks Mikie! I forgot to mention that I got got 5 turbo snails yesterday and got them acclimated to the tank, hopefully they munch through it. Appreciate the help

Stingy,

Its more like dust. Did my water levels last night and my Nitrates are high, so I gotta take care of that and see if the "algae" gets eaten up by the turbo snails I bought. Don't want it getting out of control
