Bubble Growth or Eggs under Mushroom

I am not sure what is growing or what was laid under my mushroom. Its a single brown/red mushroom. He is doing well. Streches out as soon the lights are on and stays open all day. He hasn't moved since he's been placed (about 2 months ago). This moring before I turned the tank lights on, I could see something on the back side of the base. Something that would only be visible while he was closed and retracted. I didn't get a great view and I don't even bother with pictures as I seem to be too electronically ignorant to post any pictures. But the only way to describe it would be that it looked like bubbles or eggs. They were transparent with white being the only color visible. Their shape was like rice, but inflated, as though medium grain rice had been cooked, made transparent, then somehow a group of 10 or so would have been placed at the base of the mushroom under it's canopy. Any ideas?

I just went to spy on him and he was gone! Looks like I have a sleep walker. But he was open and not in an ideal location for bubble viewing. Maybe tomorrow. If anyone can tell me how to post pics maybe I can get a good shot and upload it.
