I bought a frag of it recently from a retailer. What kind of conditions does it like? Mine did not do great in transit and came in pretty browned out. I want to give it the best possible chance to heal/color up. Any suggestions?

I hope you got it from WWC.....that is the type of frag plugs that they use, so I imagine you did......I highly doubt there is another "retailer" that has a big enough piece to frag and sell....unless you count reef farmers as a retailer

I have my colony about 1/2 way down my 220G under medium to low flow.....it seems to grow faster than any of my watermelon morphs

I have my other smaller colony in the bedroom under T5s and the coloration and growth seems to be about the same. I have noticed that the edges brown when it is fragged. It shouldn't take more than a week or two to fully recover in a good tank.

Thanks for the response. I did get it from Louis at WWC. They were great to deal with btw.

I put it half way up the tank in a semi-shaded area for acclimation. Flow is medium. Hopefully it turns into something as nice as the one you posted.

here's a picture of the mother colony before anyone got a frag....the picture is from the 180G display down at the store....plus I think this picture is much better than the one on reef farmers! It doesn't show as much detail, though.

Sure any time even thought iam a noobie to this camera thing lol.As far as falling in i was testing the durability.
