The numbers from that calculator may hold, on acrylic, but it will bow. I just entered my own tank made by a company that no longer exists (which i know bows) and it gave me the thickness they used...
I would not trust the garf calculator. When I entered values for multiple tanks it would give me the same values for glass and acrylic. From my understanding the thickness is determined by how tall the tank will be and how it is braced on top as well. If you want a rimless look its going to be significantly thicker than using a top brace. But either way you need to post dimensions and if it will be a rimless tank or not.
