Burnt smell and dying fish??

I woke up this morning to something smelling burnt, like burning rubber. I can't find anything that's the cause of the smell. I looked everywhere, outlets, heater, pumps.

All my fish (2 clowns and clown goby) are all dying. They are still breathing, I put them in a little breeder box in my larger tank and hopefully they'll pull through.

I can't find the source of the smell. The only thing I did to the tank yesterday was to refill the ATO and I poured some of the water into the overflow in the back since it was a bit low

My corals are really unhappy. I can see one dead sexy shrimp, cant find the others

Any ideas? I am going to do a WC right now

Something shorted somewhere. You really need to keep looking until you find it. Not to sound too dramatic, but your house, your life, could depend on it.

+1

Did you completly remove the equipment and closely examine them? The pump, for example, I would open up the impeller housing and inpsect it and if the rotor can be removoed check the inside of the pump where it goes.
