Ca. Reactor Recommendations??

I am ordering the single chamber soon from Scott. Awesome guy, and he makes really good stuff. You won't be upset with his dual chamber!

I am very happy with my reeftek.com reactor. I got the eheim pump, and the probe holder options. Good service via email, and a great reactor.

Do I need the dual chamber for 300gal system or single would be enough? I remember someone recommending the dual chamber but dont remember why.

thanks
G

You dont need a dual chamber, just a larger single chamber and a larger sized recirculating pump. Some people like to use a second chamber to degass the effluent. If you have room, go for it, but it is not needed.

hey guys/gals, (to be pc :) ) how difficult is it to set up a cal reactor? I'm considering getting one in the future but still have research to do.

What do you guys think of the Lifereef LCR1 reactor?
http://www.lifereef.com/frame.html

It says it is up to a 300gal system... or should I get something bigger? I have a pretty damn good deal on one available for $250 with solenoid... but not sure if it has a built in compartment for the controller or not.

I am assuming I need a separate pH controller than my aquacontroller...unless I get the III pro which I think has 2 pH ports?

Reefsahoy, a Ca reactor can be very easy to dial in depending on the make. The one I have is a snap, the Geo reactor is almost the same design and is also easy to dial in. Premiumaquatics sells the Geo.

Scott's stuff is top-notch. He's also one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. He takes quality and customer service very seriously. Don't hesitate to buy from him!!! JMO:)

I got the sinlge chamber unit for Aquatic Systems Design a couple of weeks ago. Very easy to set up. Excellent customer service. If I decide to do another tank, I will definitely be buying another reactor from Scott. This combination of quality and reasonable price is outstanding!
