CadLights 34g Mini-II ZeoVit

Fantastic coloration (and growth). My red planet hasn't budged in the year I've had it, and eventually got overgrown with zoanthids. I had to move it because it wasn't fighting off the zoanthids, and it's recovering, hopefully it'll start growing finally...

I have another acro that has been only encrusting for about a year as well, but it only has a 2"x2" patch grown over (from a small frag stick) and is finally sending up some axial corallites. I'm glad yours has grown out so much, it's beautiful. I still love the setup and minimalism of the tank too. Kudos.

Be patient, give it plenty of flow.... and light.... it will come around. this thing literally was a nub on an encrusting tissue for over a year, maybe two... and finally just blossomed out of nowhere....

I'm plenty patient. My other SPS aren't. They're going to grow over it (as a few had shaded it out already from above it). Now at least it isn't going to be bothered by zoanthids anymore.

Do the sandsifting starfish attack your coral at all? I really kind of want one but do not want to risk my hammer, frogspawn, or xenia.

Not this particular species... this one sticks to either crawling on the glass but mostly under the sand...

the other kind like blue or red starfish stay more above the sand and will crawl over coral but don't necessarily consume coral flesh... there are however some species that are carnivorous and you should be weary of...
