Calcium Chloride MSDS

I was looking through the pool section of LOWES and noticed a different pelletized calcium chloride by Arch Chemicals. Instead of the usual one by DuPont that I've been using for years. So I called Arch Chemicals to have the MSDS faxed to me.

97% Calcium Chloride
2% Potassum Chloride
1% Sodium Chloride
>1% Water

How do you find the purity of a compound? Do all chemicals need to be listed on the MSDS, or represented as "other"?

The percentage of Calcium Chloride is some of the highest I've seen.

The problem is trace contaminants, which aren't listed. Only a lot of expensive testing can determine whether the product is safe. That said, people seem to be successful with a wide range of calcium chloride products. Personally, I would find something else, though.
