Calcium oxide or hydroxide?

Warner Marine Research sells 2 kinds of Kalkwasser. One is Calcium hydroxide the other (kalk+) is Calcium oxide. Which one is preferable. Any advantages/problems using one or the other?

You cannot use the oxide in a limewater reactor as it gets too hot when it initially gets wet. It can actually melt some models.

Otherwise, there is little important difference. I use the oxide, myself, because that is what some local reefers got in a group buy.
